Sorry to say the Bourdain news doesn't surprise me a bit.
Suzi, what you described struck me as maybe a warning sign of something going wrong with your dad's executive function too. But you'd be the best judge of whether it could be that or just his personality at work—people do get more curmudgeonly as they age, after all.
I am seeing so much pain about Anthony Bourdain this morning. I do have some good news to share - my coworker's 6 year old is home from the hopsital and it turns out this was NOT a recurrance of his cancer. He had a lesion removed, but it is a benign tumor unrelated to his previous cancer.
Yes, that is good news.
In the sharing of good news category I got the first test result back and my echo shows a perfectly normal heart with all the various measurements where they should be. This means I have zero excuses and have to go to my noon Orange Theory class.
flea, that's fantastic!
And yay, Laura's normal heart!
That's great, flea!
I'm glad to hear it, Laura.
flea, that's wonderful news!
Yay, Laura!
I possibly just started an argument on Facebook with a relative. I really should only post here.
I'm kinda avoiding FB today because too much is depressing or infuriating.
Just told the tvtropes story to someone at work. Hold me?
(It's a nerd company, and we were talking about fridging, and someone posted a link in the hipchat, and...)
I am really heartbroken about Anthony Bourdain. Trying not to post/share anything because it's my mom's birthday and she doesn't need that in her feed.
