I wear a nightguard to prevent teeth grinding.(To a certain degree. It is over 20 years old, and has been reshaped after crowns, so it may not fit as well as it used to.)

Snoring. My ex had a hospital proceedure a week or so ago and K-Bug took him. One of the questions was did he snore. He said no, and apparently K-Bug's jaw dropped. That man...snored something awful. If I wasn't asleep before him, I couldn't sleep.
In actual me land, I have a brag and a fuss. I finished my last assignment (still waiting on the grade) and graduation is on Saturday! Wheeeee.
But, my father, who has know the grad date for months, has hemmed and hawed about coming out. This is the man who has pounded the value of an advanced education into my head for as long as I can remember. This is also the man who didn't come out for Kelly's wedding in January. I'd pretty much reconciled myself to not getting a straight answer and the fact that he just wasn't coming. Yesterday a card came in the mail from him. It has the house address and NO NAME. You can't come out here and you can't bother to write my name?!?!?!?

SuziQ, if only I could teleport over to celebrate your incredible accomplishment with you! I have watched with amazement all you have had to endure and fight through and I am so proud of you.
You kept on sticking to the education completion plan no matter how hard or inconvenient it was.
Color me seriously impressed by what you've accomplished. Really.
I'm sorry about your distant dad problem. I totally get that too and it's a pain but I can tell myself it's his problem more than it is mine as long as I cultivate a zen like detachment and fulfill my obligations.
I'm sorry that your Dad doesn't appreciate you, Suzi. But please know that all the invisible people inside your computer think you are awesome.
Thanks ya'll. The thing is, with my dad, this is unusual. Our relationship has been a bunch better in recent years. So this feels out of character.
When Kelly and I were talking this evening she said that between family and found family, I will have my own cheering section. Knowing your voices are there too... I'm gonna have to pack some tissues. Somewhere under my gown. Would it be wrong to store some in my hood???
The feeling of knowing I don't have any homework looking over my head is kinda amazing.
