You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Dana, I hope you get to call back your DH soon.

Sheryl, ick fun times.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

THREE HOURS. And four minutes.

Good luck, Sheryl. I didn't love seeing that they're starting to recommend getting colonoscopies at 45 rather than 50. I mean, yes, health, good.

Freedom!

He's on his way back to the airport. Sounded like it went well, if not knock-out-of-the-park well. Depends on salary, mostly. So I guess we'll see.

The Daily Show has a Trump pardon bingo card, and one of the corners is OJ. And he totally would. There's got to be at least a 50% chance he's going to do it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Dana, well, I'm already 50, so this was inevitable.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hope it's as easy a process as it can be, Sheryl.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ugh, we're gonna have a mandatory active shooter training at work. Do not want.

Ugh. I've heard that our insurance company want us to do that but so far the boss has resisted. I think the compromise was having armed security while the building is open to the public. I don't particularly love that either, but at least they're subtle about it.

Happy Pride Month!

And happy National Donut Day! So far today I have

  • Checked my email
  • Checked Facebook
  • Saw that it was National Donut Day
  • Ordered donuts and ran out to pick them up
  • Chatted with my coworkers

I guess I need to do some work now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I almost got donuts this morning! It must have been a subliminal National Donut Day impulse.

Ah well -- I think there will be other treats at a focus group I'm going to in a bit.

I did some work, checked in with my boss about it, and she said I didn't need to do it! So the half-job I've done already is actually a favor to the people who could have been doing it all along. This makes me feel good about myself rather than that I wasted my morning.
