Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, Scrappy, I'm sorry.

For anyone who wants a brief diversion, today's Google doodle is fun.

hip deep in pie

I'm so sorry, Scrappy.

Checking in from funeral central. My dad is home from the hospital and is doing pretty well. The bruising in his face has really reduced. We're buried under sandwiches and lasagnas. We don't have any immediately family here, but my BiL's and SiL's family have really stepped up.

My siblings are starting to drive me crazy. My sister was in the kitchen complaining about my sister and me even though we could hear her plainly. I finally yelled out, "We can hear everything you're saying."

Thanks for all the kind words, it means a lot.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband flies out tomorrow for his interview on Thursday. Husband has done the research for the presentation he is giving. Husband is just now starting the slides, which he assures me is no big deal. I am contemplating whether I could just live in bed for the next three days.

Also, we had to change out his car battery, in the middle of the day, in 95-degree weather.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My sister was in the kitchen complaining about my sister and me even though we could hear her plainly. I finally yelled out, "We can hear everything you're saying."

Oh my god.

Herding cats for fun

Sisters complaining loudly in the kitchen so everybody gets to hear them. It's so delightful for the whole family to hear.

I hope she, and her parents, were able to get some good rest, sj.

My sibs all complain about each other routinely, but we do it the old fashioned way, privately where they can't hear us!
