I've done pretty much everything I planned for the weekend* except for cleaning the tub. That'll wait until just before I go to bed, because the cat likes to drink from that faucet, and I'm never confident I rinsed all the cleaner off well enough. After my morning shower, it'll be safe again.
*Those plans were not terribly extensive.
Y'all were cleaning so hard I had no choice but to take a nap! It was blissful. And needed.
On June 10th I will have a bunch of strangers in my house for my DIL's bridal shower so organization will happen before then. I ordered decorations and made a menu so I am way further ahead than usual.
I did one load of laundry and shredded a small stack of papers so that I can at least say my streak of organizing/cleaning is continuing. But I also watched several hours of TV when TCG took ltc to the park.
That sounds good to me, sj.
I have been feeling more like crap than usual all weekend and got nothing I had planned to do done. Avoiding solid food today seems to be helping. I have managed to get some laundry in the washing machine, took me all damn day.
I've been sickly since returning from my work trip. I've struggled to do some edits to a proposal, but got it done and sent out. I'm in good shape, due to previously done work, for my big June 1 deadline, but I wish I could attack it with some gusto.
Yesterday I basically held down the couch in pj's. Today, I got up, showered, went on a work related errand, went to the store, then came home, fell asleep, finished proposal edits, fell asleep, sent out proposal, fell asleep, and worked a little on my June 1 project. Need another nap, I think.
Ugh. I hope that the fact that I've been resting means this'll clear up quicker!
This weekend, I swam outdoors in the Druid Hill Park pool twice ( this am was kinda chilly) attended grad party for my Miss P, & powerwashed the deck this afternoon. Got a slight sunburn today despite mostly heavy cloudcover.
We got away from the temps in the high 90s (our house is not air conditioned) by going on a long ride to a really adorable little town about an hour away to check out a barbecue place. It was fabulous. Sadly, when we got home our rickety old Poodle could not get his back legs to work and we had to carry him out to his walk and back. He's on major meds and has been going downhill for a longtime, but it was very sad and scary. He's also mostly blind and deaf and has some continence problems. We called the eathanasia vet who is schedule to come tomorrow, so of course he seemed to rally this evening and even tottered around a little. I am up first tomorrow, so I have to see if he can walk and decide whether we want to put this off. This is complicated by the fact that it's also my DH's birthday tomorrow, and what a sad thing to happen on that day.
Oh Scrappy, my heart aches for the two of you. Those decisions are always so hard.
I am very sorry, Scrappy.
