This weekend, I swam outdoors in the Druid Hill Park pool twice ( this am was kinda chilly) attended grad party for my Miss P, & powerwashed the deck this afternoon. Got a slight sunburn today despite mostly heavy cloudcover.

We got away from the temps in the high 90s (our house is not air conditioned) by going on a long ride to a really adorable little town about an hour away to check out a barbecue place. It was fabulous. Sadly, when we got home our rickety old Poodle could not get his back legs to work and we had to carry him out to his walk and back. He's on major meds and has been going downhill for a longtime, but it was very sad and scary. He's also mostly blind and deaf and has some continence problems. We called the eathanasia vet who is schedule to come tomorrow, so of course he seemed to rally this evening and even tottered around a little. I am up first tomorrow, so I have to see if he can walk and decide whether we want to put this off. This is complicated by the fact that it's also my DH's birthday tomorrow, and what a sad thing to happen on that day.
Oh Scrappy, my heart aches for the two of you. Those decisions are always so hard.
I am very sorry, Scrappy.
Oh no, Scrappy -- I hope things are clear today.
Aww, Scrappy. I'm so sorry. Hope it's clear today what you need to do. Keeping you all in my thoughts.
That's hard, Scrappy.
I'm sorry, Scrappy. That must be such a difficult decision to have to make.
I'm sorry, Scrappy. It's so hard when every option feels like the wrong one.
I'm so sorry, Scrappy. I had two poodles live to over 16 years old, and it was so hard towards the end, knowing when to say goodbye.
