Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Home from the con. Another weird work week for me. (Tomorrow, a more or less full day. Tuesday, I'm taking off as I have a mammogram and a physical therapy session. Wednesday, full day unless they let us leave early because of the holiday. I took Friday off, as I usually do.)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That reminds me I need to schedule my yearly mammo. Usually do it in October.

Also need a teeth cleaning and eye appointment.

I have been to one yoga class in the last year. But this weekend, I scored a Groupon for 30 days of unlimited classes for $23 at my favorite studio. Back at it starting tomorrow.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I finally got my 'flu shot yesterday, and I have been generally achy and spacey all day. It only just occurred to me to take something for the aches. Here's hoping that tomorrow will be better.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just got home from paying Mahjong with a group of female friends. It was great fun, especially the shared anger and vitriol about the recent election. I almost canceled this morning and am glad I made myself go. DH is off in Cabo San Lucas for a few days, driving the new Infinitis.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Aurelia do you have meds? Or just the ones you have don't work. I love my triptan.

OTC only.

Today I've mostly cuddled cats and called my dad to wish him a happy birthday. After last weekend's migraine followed by 14 hour days I'm wiped out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, Scrappy, a Mahjong group sounds so good!

not your mom's socks.

I'm starting to get concerned about some of the messages ltc is getting from her grandparents now that her language skills are improving. Not sure what I should do about it.

sj, I can tell you from experience that ltc will absolutely develop a good filter for things like this. Knowing there are different viewpoints (and knowing where you stand on some things) is something we chose to do because we felt it was important too. Now that HPF is closing on teens (OMG HOW ONE MORE YEAR ACK) I can tell you that filter expands until they hear no messages whatsoever that don't come through spotify.

ION I am so ridiculously tired. I have to turn in big project on tuesday and I think tomorrow is onesday, right?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, everyone. I just remember growing up thinking my grandparents walked on water, and I know ltc already adores hers. So, I worry about what she is learning from them

Oh wow. Someone just rang my doorbell twice. By the time I realized my roommate wasn't answering it and went downstairs the person was gone. And I thought "what weird creepiness is this that someone rings my doorbell at 10pm?" A few minutes later I get an email from Nextfoor--one of my neighbors private messaged me there to say my garage door was open and he'd rung my doorbell to let me know! ...I had no idea you could private message someone on next door or know where they live?? Now I feel bad because I don't know which neighbor he is, and my garage is the other side of my house from the front door so it was a bit of a hike for him to do that!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It was kind of him to try and help, meara. That's a good neighbor to have.
