So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think Plei falls in that category, too.

Not sincerely, though. I am seriously glad it was a limited engagement facial hair thing.

Basically, I am ride or die for the beard at this point.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Thanks, y'all! It's on my arm, just below my left shoulder. On one hand, it's still healing and definitely doesn't look its best. On the other hand, I just got a new tat that I love, and I really want to show everyone. But "this, only better in a week" is not the best display plan.

On the list of Things That Suck About Shingles is I've had to put off my next tattoo, which was going to be on the shoulder which currently feels like it's on fire all the time.

Yeah, that would definitely not enhance the experience. Hope it clears up for you soon.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Not sincerely, though. I am seriously glad it was a limited engagement facial hair thing.

He could do so many roles with it- Freddie Mercury, Tom of Finland, Magnum PI, possibly Poirot :)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thank you all.

I am also still mindblown from a volunteering meeting I've had yesterday. As in 2017,I am leading the accessibility team of Pride in Jerusalem (I was also head of accessibility team for three sci-fi cons since 2017. I kindda care 'bout this). This year the march will be in focus of elderly LGBTQs. Hearing their experiences was intense. Also, there's a 65 year old ultra orthodox man who is coming to these meetings, and while he won't join the march because of his family, he wants to be a part of the accessibility team. I am very much moved by this. [added: to clarify, the active LGBTQ community in Israel is young. I think that the avarage age of the committee that organizes Pride in Jlm is 25-27].

That's so awesome Shir! Love it! I feel like Pride in most of the US has gotten super commercialized. But maybe with the current regime it's getting back to a little more protest a little less party? Ugh.

Oh, Pride in Jlm (and anywhere that isn't Tel Aviv) is very political. It's a protest, hardly a celebration. I mean, people are still trying to hurt and kill some of the participents once every few years, and the stink bombs are a tradition by now, so there's still a way to go. My main task will be trying to convince the police to allow a van for people with mobility issues to join the march (no vechiles are allowed). And finding the money for it. I won't mind commercialization to this end...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go, Shir!

I have turned several boxes and bags of paper into one large bag of paper that still needs to be dealt with but is an improvement. And I think I'm done for the day because my back is protesting. Off to take a shower before ltc gets home. Also I need someone to send me some gold stars.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm in awe and GO SHIR of all of this!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, there's a 65 year old ultra orthodox man who is coming to these meetings, and while he won't join the march because of his family, he wants to be a part of the accessibility team.

Wow, that's amazing.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Go Shir!

Good job, sj!
