I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have a ton of stuff to sell and donate. Which is unfortunately the part I suck at.

Yeah, I usually just jam everything into bags and leave it at my local PTA Thrift Shop's donation door.

In other news, I got a new tattoo this week. It's something I've wanted for years—one of the swallows from the Minoan frescoes on Santorini. You can see a reproduction of the specific swallow on the top of this box: [link]

I'll probably post a picture of the tat somewhere once it's finished healing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Epic, that is me too, but I just finished a round of steroids for my asthma, and I'm riding the wave of productivity that always follows it for me. My goal is to make the house more presentable by the Father's Day brunch as well as making it a place that I'm not embarrassed for ltc to have play dates at. It's really bad.

Jesse, I've been stress shopping too much lately. So I really could use to sell some stuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, I've been stress shopping too much lately. So I really could use to sell some stuff.

Yeah, fair.

Ooh, I love that, Calli!

OMG, one coworker is going to drive me nuts. She is all worked up about stuff and also out of the office, so she keeps calling me to explain stuff to her and deal with it and honestly. JUST BE ON VACATION, PEOPLE. Nothing is that urgent. And even if it were, I'm not sure it could get done today, anyway. It's the day after Commencement and the Friday before a long weekend -- a lot of people are out today!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Calli, that looks awesome.

On the list of Things That Suck About Shingles is I've had to put off my next tattoo, which was going to be on the shoulder which currently feels like it's on fire all the time.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Not that I want my asthma to get that bad, but I could certainly use that side effect! I hear you, I keep kicking around the idea of a birthday party (for my June 21 birthday [finally got a reminder in earlier than Steph!]) or doing game nights this summer, but at the moment don't want anyone to set foot in my house. My BFF (who hosts a game night every month) keeps assuring me that it's such a great thing to force yourself to keep a certain level of cleanliness, but I can't seem to get to an acceptable minimum to start from.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

(for my June 21 birthday [finally got a reminder in earlier than Steph!])

I am slacking big time!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think Plei falls in that category, too.

Not sincerely, though. I am seriously glad it was a limited engagement facial hair thing.

Basically, I am ride or die for the beard at this point.

Thanks, y'all! It's on my arm, just below my left shoulder. On one hand, it's still healing and definitely doesn't look its best. On the other hand, I just got a new tat that I love, and I really want to show everyone. But "this, only better in a week" is not the best display plan.

On the list of Things That Suck About Shingles is I've had to put off my next tattoo, which was going to be on the shoulder which currently feels like it's on fire all the time.

Yeah, that would definitely not enhance the experience. Hope it clears up for you soon.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

He could do so many roles with it- Freddie Mercury, Tom of Finland, Magnum PI, possibly Poirot :)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thank you all.

I am also still mindblown from a volunteering meeting I've had yesterday. As in 2017,I am leading the accessibility team of Pride in Jerusalem (I was also head of accessibility team for three sci-fi cons since 2017. I kindda care 'bout this). This year the march will be in focus of elderly LGBTQs. Hearing their experiences was intense. Also, there's a 65 year old ultra orthodox man who is coming to these meetings, and while he won't join the march because of his family, he wants to be a part of the accessibility team. I am very much moved by this. [added: to clarify, the active LGBTQ community in Israel is young. I think that the avarage age of the committee that organizes Pride in Jlm is 25-27].
