Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Laura, I think you should wear your tiara to the wedding--and if you have a spare, loan it to Bride-mom. Gloves optional, of course, given Florida heat.

And what is your wife doing this weekend, Gud? She must be overwhelmed with work of some kind or other to not pick up some of "your" less-technical or less physically strenuous tasks, yes?

Our wings are not tired.

Nila and I were absolutely checking out the hair treatments and dresses in consideration of our mom roles. She has 50x the hair I do with her thick Cuban curls so easier for her.

Speaking of weddings! I need to pick the Mom/Son dance song and am overwhelmed at the task. The music mix at the reception will be all inclusive because although Tate tends toward Country, Bobby loves every type of music imaginable. His go to radio station right now is called Siriusly Sinatra. I've been listening to various options from internet lists of such things, and I keep tearing up! Too many options.

eta: the kids are using Elvis Presley's Can't help falling in love with you for their dance song.

What's your wife's business, Gud?

Renewed the car registration at the same place I got the inspection done. Hooray for the 21st century! Next I'm going to order some groceries to be delivered tomorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've been listening to various options from internet lists of such things, and I keep tearing up! Too many options.

Aw! Whatever you pick will be perfect.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I hadn't even considered that I would know people attending the royal wedding. Turns out there were at least two people I've worked with there!

Gina Torres was at the wedding! I was so surprised to see her picture.

It speaks well of the Duchess of Sussex that with all the world to invite to her wedding she made space for a bunch of co-workers.

And what is your wife doing this weekend, Gud?

Working on her business, so she's been busy. She's been trying to start her own counseling practice for the past year. So far it hasn't been going great.
