Walked to the store! Also purchased things at the grocery store! Still need to buy a couple other things at a different one but it's two blocks away. Just need to...get...off...the.......couch.....nooooooooo.....

brillig

There are few things nicer than the upswing after a bad cold. Yesterday I could barely stand upright and I was learning new definitions of post-nasal drip. Today I've got a mild sinus headache and I'm starving. I had to force myself to eat yesterday. Though the intermittent vertigo is still pouncing on me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

If I stay up too late, I don't have to go to tomorrow's 3-hour meeting that starts at 7:30AM, right?

Ummmmm...I don't THINk that's how t works Dana but do let me know if that's how it does.

I did not go to the store but I did get off the couch and made one of the meals (a peanut noodle thing—it would be better with tofu and carrots in it but I can add them tomorrow). I also did not go work out, but can't seem to care all that much.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've been so achey with fibro that I said screw it and took one of my hoarded muscle relaxants at 3 PM. They make me woozy as all hell, so I ended up in bed at around 8 PM, and stayed there until now (5 AM). Muscles feel better -- except that evidently since I didn't move around much in my sleep, my hip muscles kind of froze up so that it's hard to do things like bend over (not painful, just not bendy).

My mom used to say that youth is wasted on the young. I begin to understand her now.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Youth may be wasted on the young, but muscle relaxers are fun, too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Theo, feel better.

The board is too quiet this morning. I'm home, and ltc is at school. So, I actually have time to read posts.

Ugh, Mom picked up ltc at school, and apparently she'd been throwing a terrible tantrum. She's been really upset since my surgery, and I have no idea what to do about it.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, I'm sorry. There is really no way for ltc to understand the surgery. The upside is that she won't remember anything about it shortly too. Things will get back to normal. Personally I found it easier as the kids got older and we could have more in depth conversations about what was happening around them. It happens faster than you would imagine!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that Laura. She's very smart, and very rigid in wanting to stick to her schedule. So, she knows when things are different, but she can't fully articulate what the problem is and can't be reasoned with.
