Nice toe socks from a running store make a big difference for blisters. I get them too.
Last year I wore "performance" socks (made of a synthetic fabric that wicks moisture away), and got the largest blister of my life on the ball of my foot under my big toe. So I figured this year I would wear the cotton socks that I normally wear to walk, since the performance socks didn't help. Nope, still got blisters, but in different spots.
I did some googling last night, and one of the suggestions runners give about avoiding blisters is to wear 2 pairs of socks, so the friction is between the socks, not between the sock and your foot. So I guess I'll try that next. Because I was thinking about another 5K on June 2, but I really don't want the blisters.
But also, my shoes might be a bit too big, which definitely causes friction, because the foot slips around in the shoe, so I really need to go back to the running store where they can properly fit me.
The only method that worked for me was to pretty much tape every toe and the heel and ball of feet with sports tape. Not tight, but covered. Also, I had double socks.
The grammar discussion taking place on Neil Gaiman's Twitter (started when someone tried to correct him on a point of grammar and was wrong), is in its second day, and I'm about to unfollow him. Apparently I only like to argue fine points of grammar with my friends -- watching other people do it is like nails on a chalkboard.
Timelies all!
Finally got to see Infinity War last night. Now to try to catch up with things....
Grammar is really not interesting for that long.
My brother and SiL have become huuuuuuge runners. They did a 59 miler last year, and his goal is to do a 100 mile marathon someday. I can't even fathom running down the block.
I've got a whole bunch of photographs printed out and spread over the floor, and I keep staring at them, hoping that they'll arrange themselves into a coherent portfolio, somehow.

It seems like it would be hard to assemble your own photos into a portfolio in the same way that it's hard for a writer to edit their own writing -- you're too close to it, because it's your own creative work.
That's exactly the problem, Steph.
I adore your photos, Tom. I wish I could offer some helpful suggestions on how to proceed.
Teppy, I feel your pain - literally - when it comes to the plantar fasciitis. I'm about ready to ask for a foot transplant.
Today was productive at least as far as getting plants in the ground or into planters goes.
Well, here's a first stab at a portfolio site.
Now I need are better project titles than "Color" and "B&W", and a domain name.
