Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats, Scrappy!

Coding and Sleeping

I have a lot to do this weekend. I feel like today is my last day to relax just working on work work which is currently cryptography.

Cryptography sounds fun! That kind of sucks, Gud, that work work is more relaxing than the weekend.

I'm reading our new employee manual and it could use some proofreading and tightening up. Pictures are pretty, though.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am finally approved as a substitute teacher and a working next Monday and Friday. I am excited and nervous.

Full circle! Though I guess this means you'll be working as a dancer in about five years if we keep going back into your past.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry, sj. Did your doctor say something like "if you're still in pain after you take these call the office", because that's the kind of instruction I tend to forget about when I'm still in pain.

The hospital is supposed to call today to check in on me. So, I'll mention it then. I've taken three doses as scheduled so far, and it's starting to help. The biggest problem right now is when I have to stand up or sit back down. I think I use different muscles than most people do for this process because of my disability, and it hurts a lot. It's not that bad when I'm resting.

Oh, and congratulations, Scrappy! That's awesome!

Love and ~ma to anyone whose posts I missed and forgive me for the typos. The meds are making me a bit foggy.

Agreed.

That also reminds me of the saddest parent-child interaction I heard the other week. The 4th-grade kid was like, Oh no, vacation is over -- I don't want to go back to school! And the parent said, "I know, honey, but it's state testing next week -- that should be more interesting?" This poor kid is so bored in school that testing is better! Yikes.

Congratulations, Scrappy!

My niece, who is in 3rd grade, has been telling me about state testing and how terrible it is, so double yikes.
