All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We've got that same temperature curve going.

I wish I could figure out what my migraine triggers are. I probably should take an antihistamine/decongestant as a precaution.

Yeah, I can't really pre-medicate with my migraine meds, because they have caffeine in them and then I won't sleep. I may take ibuprofen before bed just in case, though.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

From my tumblr feed tonight:

For those not following on twitter - Mike Pence went to Hamilton tonight - got booed by the entire audience, was subjected to massive extended applause after "Immigrants, we get the job done", and then King George sang "What Comes Next?" directly to him leading to a three minute standing ovation for the King.

Finally some good news.

I'm sorry, Gud. Please hang in there. And do get some exercise, if you can: the NYT reported on a study this week that really strongly supported the ways that exercise can help with depression. (Of course, it's very hard to exercise if one has chronic depression...)

The next thought was "Why was he in the shower at 4:30 in the morning?"

Indeed! But he sleeps poorly, and his overnight caregiver leaves at 7AM, so I guess she figured she'd help him shower if he was up anyway.

He seems to be okay, but I didn't want to take him out tonight and instead I went to see the new HP movie with my brother. Except he didn't ask my sister if she wanted to go until late, and now she's all pissed off. Family drama among 50-year-olds! Oy.

And now off to the movie thread to post my thoughts.

Our wings are not tired.

I really have to figure a way to make this happen. See also post menopausal women and osteoporosis. Impact exercise is the real answer to that one too. I have no excuses, and yet.

Since I have stopped watching news and rarely look at FB now there is more available time. Zoe has told me she would be delighted to walk with me any hour of day or night too.

I slept in. Plans for morning gym - oh well.

Bailey the dog and I are enjoying a lazy late morning.

So far, no migraine from the rapid weather change. Yay! And I think I got the popcorn hull out, because my teeth feel fine today. Also yay!

Now I just need to get everything ready for Tim's family BD party. Apple crisp is in the oven, our friend who has a baking business as a side project (and lives 4 doors down) is making Tim's official cake and will bring it up when it's frosted, and all the non-refrigerated stuff is already in the trunk of the car. All we need to do is round up the refrigerated stuff, pick up Tim's niece from UC in about 90 minutes, and head for the party.

Damn, it's COLD. Hasn't even broken 40 yet, and I'm starting to doubt that it will. There were flurries earlier, which made Tim VERY happy. I married the dang Cold Miser.

brillig

My furnace kicked on last night. Conveniently, yesterday the maintenance people were in on their complex-wide quarterly filter change and plumbing inspection. This is bliss.
