And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DH wants to go although I told him reviews were mixed. He countered with the availability of movie popcorn.

It's a movie that hugely benefits from a big engaged audience. If you want to see it at all, I'd say go soon to a theater.

brillig

I like that the producers said "Sorry, people who haven't been paying attention, but we've been doing this for ten years now, and we have too much to do to catch you up."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why oh why did both lunch places lie about what kind of soups they had today! (I realize it's because it's Monday and I was looking ahead of lunchtime, but still.) I really wanted the spicy sausage and kale soup from Place 1, but got there and they didn't have it, so went to Place 2 for second-choice chicken noodle soup, and they didn't have THAT. The tomato bisque I ended up with is fine, but I'm not sure it's going to last until dinner.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ooh, spicy sausage and kale soup sounds awesome! Bummer they didn't have it.

In Dammit-uiniverse news - my friend who retired that left me the opening so I could come back to my old department? Her son shot himself this weekend. No one knows where he got a gun, it's unclear how much intention there was, it's very upsetting from every angle.

Doing actual work does not feel like a high priority today, but I guess it's what I'm gonna do.

Oh god, that is awful. Your poor friend.

It's so good! Maybe it will be there tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

The temptation of popcorn won the day. IMAX option is in Ft. Lauderdale and I really don't want the extra 20 min each way commute, but at least it is the 3D with the super comfy love seat recliner chairs for date night. And wine! I always get the wine because they have to check age and make me wear a wrist band, which amuses me since I buy senior price tickets.

I'm kind of annoyed, but it's probably a good thing that I have a bit more work than usual to keep me occupied today. And same thing opposite direction that I bought candy from those kids fundraising to support their basketball team yesterday.

That sounds great, Laura! Ooh, I should make my next viewing at a place with comfy seats and wine.

The comfy seats has resulted in increased attendance for me. In particular for DH since he has legroom issues.
