Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Em has a car now. It's a 2007 Honda Fit with 211,000 miles so it is the same age as my car but has fewer miles. I need to replace the brake pads and I'm going to update the head unit for her so she'll have bluetooth, USB, in-dash Nav, and a reverse camera. She wants to help me with all of that since she likes working on cars with me, which is awesome.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, parent-child working on cars is sweet!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

... Wait, what? The toddler has a car now?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry Suzi.

We are home, waiting for pizza delivery.

Two of my male co-workers have become roommates. They have very nearly opposite shifts, so it's fun to listen to them discussing housekeeping during their overlapping hours. They're discussing curtain rods at the moment and things to look out for regarding the dog.

Our wings are not tired.

First car!

I'm sorry, Suzi. Too much.

One fun difference with the British Antiques Roadshow is you get to see glorious 16th Century religious articles that are in the possession of retired priests. Old here is a lot more significant.

Ah, coffee.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Suzi.

I hope Em enjoys the car, Gud! I have a 2008 Honda Fit. When I had it in for an oil change last weekend, the guy at the shop said I could expect it to keep running for another 10 years. They're resilient little cars.

I do like the British Antique Roadshow. Seeing the lovely locations they film in is also a plus.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hugs, Suzi.
