Our wings are not tired.

And also, I can literally not remember him working this hard for, like, his actual family. So I am resentful and bitchy.

I am this way with basketball. Grateful that I get to bitch here!

Also, I obviously need more glitter eyeshadow. Obviously .

I actually bought some makeup about a month ago, and still haven't tried it. The notion of wearing it is still pretty theoretical.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My kitchen sink stopped draining last night. I noticed quickly enough to avoid standing water beyond the drain portion of the sink, but today the plumber started working in the unit above mine and managed to fill my sink with some vile nastiness. Of course he's bailing the nastiness and taking it to the bathroom to flush. I guess my afternoon will be cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and the path in between instead of getting outside to enjoy the actually seasonally appropriate weather.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sadface.

Oh yuck, aurelia. Not fun at all.

Kitchen is clean, floor is mopped, and I can use my kitchen sink again. I still need to wash a bunch of stuff that was under the sink that got muck on it and I should probably do another wipe down of the bathroom. I may take a walk first.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, gross.

Just had my mother's family birthday party, which was quite nice! I got the dinner from a restaurant that does take-out grilled chickens, and she got pies for dessert, which was all perfect. Easy, delicious, everyone liked it, etc.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

That was a long day. Today would have been my BIL's 67th birthday. So we celebrated the way he would have liked, with a tailgate party and the As beating the Red Sox with a three-run homer in the 7th. 70-something people showed up, and there was So. Much. Food. I came home with a bunch of condiments I will never use, in Costco sizes, and half a case of leftover beer.

It was great, but it was hella hot up in the nosebleed bleacher seats.

Now I am home and still (foolishly) nibbling on leftovers.

So sleepy, but it's only 7 pm, I cannot go to bed yet...

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I swept the kitchen floor this morning. Now, wait. This is memorable because A. I *never* look at the floor--any floor--so I never notice dirt. B. It was sunny and light was pouring in through the skylight. C. I was in the kitchen waiting on the coffeemaker and toaster, thus, idle, and dropped something, which called my attention to ugh! all these crumbs! D. Which was odd, because the kitchen really hasn't had much traffic since H has been gone, and none of it tracking stuff in from outside. So I think it was sort of miraculous. And has also led to the observation that, geez, the giant and overly-ornate moldings on these cabinet doors (simple flat frames would be *so* much better!) are hella dusty! But since I don't want to strain anything, and also I have shit to write, the moldings will wait till tomorrow, when I am once again stranded in the kitchen with nothing to do until the toast and coffee are ready. Next day, the range hood. Day after that, toaster crumb tray (*before* the toast), then the fridge gasket, the trashcan lid, the burner trays on the range, etc., etc., etc. I'll eventually work my way around the room and then can start over.

brillig

My excursions to the hoity-toity cheese counter have introduced me to fig spread. OMG, so good. Especially on Swiss-like cheese. I feel both pretentious and sophisticated.

Gud, are you around? Do your kids know a Ray-Pec kid named Lance Hays? Do you know what happened to him? Vaguebook is being vague and it seems really inappropriate to ask.
