Yikes. Fire bad.

Also, does anyone old enough during Watergate remember if there was the same kind of rats leaving a sinking ship mass exodus at the White House that we're seeing now?
I just read about the number of Republican Congresspeople not seeking re-election being the most since the Watergate scandal. Unfortunately that probably means Tea Party candidates running in their place these days.
The Whitehouse has been stating that the President does have the authority to fire Mueller directly
He doesn't have the authority to run the presidency as a for-profit venture either, and yet.
Fire very scary. Good that people were safe, but still a devastating loss.
Another busy day. Up at 5:15, do work and play stuff, take son to work, exercise class, drive across the state to take sister to get cataract surgery, see family, work all day, drive back, fall into bed.
Trump simply has never met a problem that he couldn't sue or pay off his way out of, so no wonder he's sticking to the idea that if he just fires enough people, the problem will be put off until people forget about it.
Yep! He needs to change his strategy and listen to advice. Which he's SO good at.
Elsewhere a friend pointed out that it's a state investigation into Cohen now, so Trump can't even pardon him if it came to that. Heh heh.
This was referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York, so it's still Federal. Trump Tower is in the SDNY, though, so... they know him well there. heh heh

The White House states a lot of things.
The media keeps saying "Will the President fire Mueller?" and it's making him think he can fire him directly.
I miss the days when I didn't know any of this and didn't need to.
sarameg, lisah, yikes, that fire is awful and scary.
Where did the tucked-in-in-front-loose-in-the-back shirt thing come from?
Drunk people.
I am just doing fittings with the front tucked thing. It works well if you want a big shirt look, but also want a suggestion of waist. It is a redo of the 80s big belt with big shirt/ stirrup pants.

See, this is the kind of thing that makes me feel bad about the fact that 7:30am PT means I'll be tired and crabby all day.
First few things on the list done, now to shower and hit the road. 3 hour drive to my sister's house. I don't like doing the round trip in one day, but I want to sleep in my own bed. I'm okay with getting up at 5 or so in the morning; it is the getting in bed at a decent hour that is problematic. I want to read, watch Rachel, play on the internet. Not enough hours in the day.
Oh see my shocked face, Paul Ryan fleeing sinking ship.
I have to leave for my flight at 5am. Have I done ANYthing to get ready? Dye my hair? Vacuum the floor? PACK? No. No, I have not.
I'd turn in my Adult card, but I lost it.
Paul Ryan fleeing sinking ship.
HA HA HA what a shitty little weasel. If by some horrible chance they hold onto the majority, I hope they have another round of hot potato with the speakership.
