I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

I am at a dance weekend. I'm always so torn. These weekends depress the hell out of me because there are so many amazing dancers here that I will never be even half as good as. But the only way to get better is to go to stuff like this. So I go and get depressed. I'm thinking maybe next year I just skip it and give up

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, meara. Can you spend some time with crappy dancers to balance it out?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yes, meara, you should come to hang out with the Trianglistas and dance with me. You'll never doubt your dancing skills again. I've literally cried about my crappy dancing. More than once.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, I had the most fun night last night. It all started when the one guy in the group (gay) asked me to take his picture with the view, because we were at a rooftop bar, and some girl near us insisted on taking our picture together, which we decided would be our engagement photo. Then, the place has these "igloos" that are heated, but they all had people in them, so we asked some strangers if we could join them, and ended up having the best time with them! It was exactly what I needed. I haven't had a random night like that in years.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Up at 7 on a Saturday for A/C repair appt? Yes Call at 8:15 that appt is cancelled due to company only sending half the parts they need? Yes

Trying to not get super grumpy about this injustice.

Coffee made, dishes washed, and I've cleared off half the late night tslk show monologues from TiVo.

Nail appt at 10.

I guess I could go back to bed for an hour. I could also shower and make try to cute myself up.

What to do for the rest of the day? Goal is to spend no money.

Our wings are not tired.

It's me waiting for Elijah.

I saw your pictures, so assuming he showed and I am sure he was also impressed.

But the only way to get better is to go to stuff like this. So I go and get depressed.

This is the way DH trains his basketball teams. In the summer he has them play against men's leagues where they get slaughtered week after week. Then during season when they play against equal teams they have that knowledge and experience. It is painful, but a valid way to improve.

Jesse! That sounds like so much fun. Yay for good times.

Today I am pouring coffee down then headed to a wedding planning luncheon. Whee! My knee is ever so grateful to not go to exercise class this morning. I talked to the trainer and may do more elliptical and less rowing machine. The treadmill is no issue, but my knee really hates the rower. We'll see.

Still getting a fair amount of my news from the late night shows. Easier to take that way.

Because books.

Happy seders, everyone.

Matt, how's your dad?

I'm having mom annoyance this morning, thanks to a certain teenager. It does not go well with my sinus headache.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It is totally better to be the worst dancer on the planet (and there is some evidence that this is precicely what I am) than to be the best at sitting there unmoved by the music.

Awesome, Jesse!

Wheee, Laura! Wedding planning!

I have fully embraced the "dance like no one's watching" aphorism, even when performing. Don't tell my troupe.

Now sitting at a coffee shop trying some new-to-me thing that's basically a divided shit glass with hot espresso on one side and cold cream on the other that you drink all at once. I kinda like it, but I don't think I need to make it a habit. Off to saunter Mt Wanda soon.
