Here's hoping that the new situation is what helps, Matt.
I went looking for the Twain quote, and this is what I found:
When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
- attributed by Reader's Digest, Sept. 1937. This quote has been attributed to Mark Twain, but until the attribution can be verified, the quote should not be regarded as authentic.
I'll just start attributing it to Jesse.
Years ago, my mother was in the hospital and one of the nurses woke her up to give her a sleeping pill.
Timelies all!
Health~ma to your dad, Matt!
Work took the rest of the day. Still waiting on things from one person so I can finish things I need wrapped up by 10am tomorrow morning for prelim close.
I cleaned up most of the messy stuff though, so I am not too worried. And I have the emails showing that I have asked for stuff more than once.
I spent almost the entire day in meetings, talking about what needed to be done, rather than actually just doing the things.
All kinds of health~ma for your dad, Matt. The tech is probably well-meaning, but first things first.
Best wishes and all the ~ma, Matt.
