FB has me as black for advertising. I don't see a lot of ads. I looked and I have nearly 80 advertisers hidden and a bunch of ad categories blocked.
I see an ad and I try and hide it. For awhile I kept seeing ads to help hurt or injured animals and I got so frustrated I went through and hid every ad that popped up.
I am so far from a frequent traveler I don't even understand! It says I just got back within the last 1 week. I haven't left Rochester since Christmas.
I was watching Mary Berry's new series on Great Houses of England, which focused on the families and how they lived in the houses (and some cooking).
Sounds neat! Is it on PBS or Netflix?

YouTube. And (ahem) on my hard drive.
Is anyone else noticing just a TON of Netflix original stuff that is not advertised at alll? My gut is that a lot of it is sub-par stuff.
Thanks! I'll check out YouTube for it.
Inclination to do actual work-work today: very low.
Same here. Sadly, the quantity of actual work-work to be done is not cooperating.

They'll buy almost anything that can't get distribution in theaters or on broadcast/cable, and label it Netflix Original. So all the crap that used to go direct-to-DVD *plus* a lot of crap that would never have even made it that far winds up in their catalog just waiting for the algorithm to suggest it to someone. It's cheap for them and it lets them say things like "We have eighty bazillion titles for you to watch!"
Tumblr staff just posted, here's an excerpt:
"Last fall, we uncovered 84 Tumblr accounts linked to the Russian government through the Internet Research Agency, or IRA. These accounts were being used as part of a disinformation campaign leading up to the 2016 U.S. election. After uncovering the activity, we notified law enforcement, terminated the accounts, and deleted their original posts. Behind the scenes, we worked with the Department of Justice, and the information we provided helped indict 13 people who worked for the IRA."
And I got an email from Tumblr listing all my reblogs of posts by blogs which are implicated in this mess. Tumblr has deleted those blogs, and it's up to users to go through and delete any reblogs of them, or not.
here's the post
That's a very thoughtful statement from tumblr. Nice to see.
