Our wings are not tired.

Thank you Tom and David for uplifting stuff. I am that Angry Dog apparently. My teeth hurt from the grinding.

I've definitely been having some trouble lately. Not sure if it's the election or the change of seasons or what, but although my mood isn't mostly too terrible, I'm also doing shit like going to bed at 830 at night and not wanting to get up at 7am when my alarm goes off. Not restful sleep. But no energy. Haven't even worked out in weeks. :(

Coding and Sleeping

Good luck, David. I really hope it works out.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

To make my life complete, my office is having a team building thing on Friday. Our head person let something drop and I've figured out that it's going to be one of those locked room deals. I offered to keep quiet about it if she'd give me the key. sigh ... at least it'll be a shorter than usual day - starts later and ends earlier. I may try to get in a little shopping in that area if we end early enough.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good luck, David. I really hope it works out.

Thanks all. Not only would it lift us out of paycheck to paycheck finances, we'd be in the position to pay forward some of the aid and succor the Buffistas have extended to us.

So, not counting any chickens and taking nothing for granted, but it would change our lives.

brillig

one of those locked room deals

The one I did was fun. I got to contribute to the solution and had suggestions listened to.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, David!

Me too! My new fitness tracker (Moov) tells me 76% of last night's sleep was "restorative" but I do not feel it.

You might want to think about a mouthguard, Laura. My dentist has convinced me that the molar I broke last summer was from grinding my teeth and that was a lot of no fun.

Good luck with the team-building, Toddson.

Punishingly Intricate

I feel like a locked room activity should very much be an opt in only kind of thing. I could see it easily triggering an anxiety attack in someone. (Like me if I wasn't prepared for it and I wasn't with the right people.)

My boss sent us a last minute "quick update" call request. We are all on and waiting for her to join...wondering wtf this is aboht. My bet is she's quitting.

Meep, good luck with that, meara. I hate those "quick meetings" with no agenda
