Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good grief, I am so at odds with myself. I am alternating wildly between wanting to burn it all down and get active, to go to bed and watch recorded tv and never go on FB or Twitter again.

With you Laura. I'm mad as hell and not wanting to take it anymore but also so damn tired.

Ugh, Dana. I hate those dream hangovers.

I am so thankful this year that Thanksgiving is just me and my parents, no extended family with difficult attitudes to manage. And also that I am only obligated for actual Thanksgiving Day and the race on Saturday, leaving me with all of Friday, Saturday afternoon, and all of Sunday to myself - more than a standard weekend!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I dreamed last night that we were all part Jilllifonts, and part of the job of US President involved spinning your own inaugural robes from your own silk. And Trump was disqualified for trying to outsource his silk making.

It was equal parts disturbing and joyful.

spinning your own inaugural robes from your own silk. And Trump was disqualified for trying to outsource his silk making.

What an intriguing notion, proving your worth by being able to create your own ceremonial robes.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Today hasn't been a good day for me, but this Onion headline improved my day immeasurably: [link]

Man, just trying to make my to do list for the rest of today is kind of overwhelming me. Maybe I should have lunch first.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Post-election I'm feeling like David Lynch's old cartoon in the L.A. Reader, The Angriest Dog In the World: "The dog who is so angry he cannot move. He cannot eat. He cannot sleep. He can just barely growl. Bound so tightly with tension and anger, he approaches the state of rigor mortis."

On the plus side, my work project is in the process of (a) securing an investor (so that among other things, I'd start getting paid again after more than half a year of working for free) and (b) setting up a meeting with the main toy licensing company for the major media companies we met with. (Supposed to be discreet about naming names at this stage.)

We've already cleared the biggest gate by nailing our last pitch (for the head of licensing for said major media company) so we're meeting the toy companies with her imprimatur.

In sum we've gone from Better Than A Lottery Ticket, to Better Than a Coin Flip to Pretty Fucking Close to the Brass Ring.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you Tom and David for uplifting stuff. I am that Angry Dog apparently. My teeth hurt from the grinding.

I've definitely been having some trouble lately. Not sure if it's the election or the change of seasons or what, but although my mood isn't mostly too terrible, I'm also doing shit like going to bed at 830 at night and not wanting to get up at 7am when my alarm goes off. Not restful sleep. But no energy. Haven't even worked out in weeks. :(

Coding and Sleeping

Good luck, David. I really hope it works out.
