He was. I had many conversations with him here about music and film.
I am so sorry to hear about Frankenbuddha. Loved reading him here every now and then. Peace to him and lots of ~ma to his friends and loved ones.
Frank was a good guy. He came to a few F2F things, but I haven't seen him in several years.
Regarding accessibility in doctors offices and hospitals. I'm always extra annoyed when front doors and bathroom doors don't have an automatic open button, especially handicapped bathrooms. It makes no sense. You would think doctors would be more sensitive to these things.
Frank was a curmudgeon for sure, but since I am a Curmudgeon Whisperer(tm) by virtue of being married to Tom, we got along splendidly. We'd get beers before or after our commute from Boston to Salem, and even sometimes when we weren't commuting. He was a great beer nerd (so we talked about that a lot) and made me a few mix CDs with some crazy ass obscure music on them that I really got into while walking to and from the train station from work.
When I moved to New Orleans, I met another beer nerd curmudgeon that Tom and I would fondly refer to as "New Orleans Frank."
RIP, Frankenbuddha.
Sad to hear of Frank's passing. I only met him in person a few times, but he was always kind to me. My condolences to all who knew him well.
So sad to hear of Frankenbuddha's passing. I was hoping yesterday that it was all some horrible facebook mistake. RIP.
Aw, Nora. That is a great remembrance.
In much lighter news, I just ordered these glasses, and I'm already having second thoughts! Luckily, they have a 30-day return policy.

I like them! I wonder if the color is right for you. But I guess we'll know soon.
Timelies all!
Back from our usual supermarket run. Passover starts in less than two weeks, and the selection of Passover goods in our regular supermarkets has been pretty paltry. We will be going to a kosher supermarket next Sunday for the the special items we usually get there, but it looks like we'll have to buy more there than usual. Which is annoying, since things are usually more expensive there.
