Ann, that's a ferret.

Can malaise be an official diagnosis?

If it isn't, it should be.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I had a few days of blah and ow in January, so whatever it is, it's going around.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Malaise, malaise, malaise, the word has lost all meaning, but see, divorced from meaning it's a pretty collection of sounds... like clothesline.

I could almost hear the brane gears grinding fruitlessly this AM before coffee and meds. H asked a question--simple, easy, but mulitpart answer. I just blinked at him, ouchy and incapable of beginning the first part. Coffee and meds on board, braining is now possible.

I honestly don't remember what feeing *good* feels like.

Coding and Sleeping

I took a few minutes during lunch to fix the garage door. It's good to have that out of the way. There was even enough slack in the wires that I didn't need to splice in a new section, just cut out the bad and the reconnect.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice, Gud.

I am actually feeling pretty good lately! Post nasal drip and a cough, but that's all I can complain about. My achy muscles are from exercise, so that's ok.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Malaise sounds about right.

I went out for a meeting and they gave me a cupcake! So that was nice.

But I'm still half-fantasizing about the idea that I might need surgery and how long I could stay out of work if that were the case. If I don't need surgery, I am going to schedule a spring staycation anyway, because I am OVER IT. (Did I ever tell you people about my shoulder? I wrenched it in my sleep, I guess, over the summer, and it's never really healed, so I'm finally seeing an ortho next week.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, I'm basically going to spend all day tomorrow talking about racial discrimination and sexual harassment, so that should be fun?

Thrive to spite them

I got called into my manager's office, he said it wasn't bad news...and it was great news. I was employee of the month for Jan! They are a little behind.

As a gift I got to pick one of the perfume testers. They send way too many so I got a full size bottle of J'adore. They also said my sales at that point were about half the store sales.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Jesse, I hope they figure out your shoulder. I had AC repair surgery 6 years ago today. After months and months of "oh, its your rotator cuff, you just need to strengthen the muscles". Anyway, immediate relief after the surgery - was using my shoulder the day after.

I just got my jury duty postponement approved. It was originally scheduled for next week and...I just can't. So, now it is early May.
