I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Fucking Greg Abbott.

So there was a bomb threat and possible actual explosive (unclear if it was capable of detonating, it did have explosive material) at my nephew's elementary school in Alabama today. That's about all that's known for certain.

brillig

Constitutional conventions are dangerous things, even if there's a proposal in place as the reason for the convention, anything can be introduced.

The first snow storm of the year is rolling in. I'm terrified of driving in this in the morning, even though it's going to be a miniscule amount on the road. I wonder if I should give Lexapro another try.

Fucking Greg Abbott.

Yep.

There is concern about a convention getting out of hand. With Trump's election, I suspect they won't do anything more about it for a while.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Watching Inspector Morse from 1998 (or 92? unclear), and I didn't recognize baby Sean Bean until I saw his name in the end credits!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Holy shit, sarameg. Does your nephew understand? Will the school be open tomorrow?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I wonder if I should give Lexapro another try.

It is good for anxiety.

The kids were all put into the storm shelter when it was discovered, device was detonated in the woods by local police/FBI/ATF. Nephew is 9, and knowing him, he's just disappointed he had to watch Ant's Life or whatever instead of seeing the detonation.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes, sarameg! Wow.

I want to watch baby Sean Bean now. Don't tell me if he dies.

I also liked Yael on Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Sort of almost but not really a crossover for the non superpower CW shows!

I know this is from yesterday, but I think maybe moist and damp and soggy are not so much on a continuum of wetness as qualitatively different from one another.

I am thinking about going to Jack in the Box for one of their Munchie Meals. I am pretty sure this is a terrible idea, but I really want to have tried the Stacked Grilled Cheese Burger and I have to stay awake until midnight tonight (well, I have to be awake at midnight, but I have no faith in my ability to actually wake up if I go to sleep before) so now is my chance.

-t, why do you have to be awake at midnight?

I decided to make pumpkin bread & muffins, and threw in some extra crystallized ginger, hope it comes out well. Now my kitchen is a complete mess and instead of cleaning, I'm watching the Great Irish Bake Off.

GIBO has some interesting differences than GBBO. For one thing, they appear to do only two challenges per weekend instead of three. Also, during the technical challenge, the contestants can talk to one another! So right now they're all consulting on how to roll the stollen up! It's amazing!

That said, it's still not the same without Mel & Sue. But worth checking out if you're desperate for nice & supportive cooking competitions.
