I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration
I can kinda see her thinking she didn't need to go there and subject herself to that and someone somewhere convincing her that, no, she had to, it'll be fine, and even as she agreed to it she was thinking "if anyone is mean to me I'll just leave".
I mean, it's plausible. Stupid and terrible, but this is the world we live in.
