Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The snow is starting to stick now, and we have thundersnow. So I guess it's a little more serious than I thought.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thundersnow is always serious!

And single-stream recycling is exciting.

Thundersnow!

Yay, Strix! You know, when I was a kid we had a heavy metal plate with a handle that we used to crush aluminum cans so we could store them easily before taking them to be recycled; these days I can have up to 10% of my recycling actually be non-recyclable, someone else sorts it, and I am sooooo casual about it. Progress, I suppose.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I had a wall-mounted can crusher for years!

I am taking the last batch of glass recycling to the recyclers today. I'm psyched I'll not have to do it again...for a very long time hopefully.

We're getting down to the wire. We move next Thursday and the bath, laundry and kitchen floors are getting replaced tomorrow. Giant PITA. I don't understand why he can't wait til we're out on the 15th. He's getting rent for the whole month and he hasn't listed the place yet.

I think this was a thing my dad made or salvaged from somewhere. Literally just a heavy square of metal with a handle sticking up. It was pretty exciting for us little kids to get to use!

ETA Ugh. You'd think he'd wait, but you do have to take contractors when you can get them.

Coding and Sleeping

Getting ready to leave Charlotte after four hours of powerpoint this morning. I think I flatlined about two hours in.

NYT correction of the day: [link]

March 6, 2018

Because of an editing error involving a satirical text-swapping web browser extension, an earlier version of this article misquoted a passage from an article by the Times reporter Jim Tankersley. The sentence referred to America's narrowing trade deficit during "the Great Recession," not during "the Time of Shedding and Cold Rocks." (Pro tip: Disable your "Millennials to Snake People" extension when copying and pasting.)

That is a fantastic correction!

And that is a lot of PowerPoint, Gud. Hope you revive with no complications.
