Yesterday, 3 books I've been waiting for for a year came out and I. Did. Nothing.
I didn't pack, paint or clean. I just read from 9 am to 9 pm, and then I went to sleep. (Ok, I made some calls and swept and did the dishes but that's it.)
It was awesome!
Back to the grind today, but damn, I needed that!
So the big nor'easter is kind of a bust here in NYC so far.
Unfortunately, nobody told my sinuses.
Yeah, supposedly it's supposed to get bad this afternoon/evening, but so far I'm not seeing a reason my kids needed to be kept home from school. I can't even have them go out and play in the snow because there isn't any. It's too warm and it's not accumulating. My backyard is just a big slushy mud puddle.
We're not supposed to get much until this afternoon, but as far as I can tell, the forecast is still 0-12" here, so who's to say what will happen? (I have a good guess, because it's not supposed to get below 35 even overnight tonight.)
Aw, the forecast on the radio this morning was for snow showers and no accumulation (not where I am, higher altitudes). I feel so in tune with you guys!
Our forecast is still saying 10-15" total with "difficult to impossible" travel conditions during the evening commute, but I no longer believe it.
I'm working from home and people are being super annoying.
1) ask for information I sent yesterday and that is also SUPER EASY TO GET
2) send me a passive aggressive email about something I missed Monday. Something I could have easily and much faster fixed yesterday when IN THE OFFICE and YOU SPOKE WITH ME.
3) the same person from #2 is in a record that I need in to fix, FOR THEM. I have emailed them to get out of it, so that I can fix it. Nothing. Are they on the company IM? No... of course not.
So I know I'm old because I called to order a glass recycling container for the me place...and we just throw EVERY DAMNED RECYCLABLE in our big wheeled recycling bin that's already there.
No separating. No driving glass to the glass recyclers.
SO. EXCITE.
The snow is starting to stick now, and we have thundersnow. So I guess it's a little more serious than I thought.
