Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

move out and draw fire

...what do you think they would do, volans? That had not even occurred to me as a concern?

I don't think it really happens. I think at midterms, when the Trump administration hasn't made life wonderful, the Dems retake the Senate.

But if the GOP could, I think they'd restructure the Second Amendment, make some changes to the 13th, and generally yuck.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I don't think the Ds take the Senate back in 2018. They'll be defending 23 out of 33 seats (plus 2 Independents that caucus with the Ds). At least numerically, the House might be more doable.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary's been away on business this week. He gets back tonight. He's had a lot of business travel in the last two months. It's hard enough wrangling Mr. S when I'm at 100%, but I'm exhausted. (I'm crutch-free and heading towards being brace-free, but I'm still not back to normal)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sheryl, I'm sorry. I hope you get a bit of a break when Gary gets home.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I know no one cares about it but me, but why is Yael Groblas from Jane the Virgin on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend?

Jesse - Nov 16, 2016 1:50:59 pm PST #2293 of 30002
Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't know, but I liked it! More Yael Groblas is my stand, apparently.

Actually, the governor of Texas has proposed a constitutional convention primarily to "rein in the federal government and restore the balance of power between the States and the United States". (see more) Oddly enough, nothing about outlawing abortion.

So there was a bomb threat and possible actual explosive (unclear if it was capable of detonating, it did have explosive material) at my nephew's elementary school in Alabama today. That's about all that's known for certain.

brillig

Constitutional conventions are dangerous things, even if there's a proposal in place as the reason for the convention, anything can be introduced.

The first snow storm of the year is rolling in. I'm terrified of driving in this in the morning, even though it's going to be a miniscule amount on the road. I wonder if I should give Lexapro another try.
