Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

All that drama and resolution before I even get out of bed, Jesse!

Our wings are not tired.

I went to bed long before the show was over so I'll finish watching it later today.

Also, well done with the ankle fix, Jesse.

I have had a super good Monday start. First I went and walked a couple miles on the beach at 6:30. We have a bit of a cool blast, 57 degrees, so taking advantage of not being too hot. Also, the northeast storms have given us giant waves so it was fun the watch the surfer dudes up with the sunrise.

Then I get home and open my FB and find that Richard Branson has mentioned me!! He had a post mid February asking for people to share the best business tip they had received. I did, and I won a copy of his book. Shiny!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's super cool, Laura!

Ha! You have no idea how much more drama has been going on in my head since I woke up in a panic at quarter to six.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

This weekend was crazy busy, all with house stuff, but I got so much done!

Found awesome couch to replace two ugly old recliners and ugly uncomfortable orange couch

Found butcher's block

Found mover and moved both items (the butcher's block works even better than I'd hoped in the new kitchen and I am overjoyed.)

Finished kitchen paint job.

Started on LR paint

Sold dining room set and bookshelf

Transferred 6 utilities, got renter's insurance, ordered movers, ordered dumpster.

Got a bunch of free moving boxes and two free nice outdoor barrel chairs to replace crappy ones.

Scored a fancy new table lamp for $15 to replace perfectly hideous one D bought for $3 a year ago.

I am trying to keep up with cleaning, but man, our current house is a hot damned mess right now.

More painting and moving some fragile stuff today. I am so sore.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My perpetually late and morning-hating coworker scheduled a meeting for 9AM. She is not yet online. You may ask why she schedules meetings at 9AM. Why indeed.

That's a lot!

In other work news, it looks like I'm going to move to a less-nice office with a better-for-me location. That seems like a fair trade-off. But I do want to go scope out the office to check.

So this is awesome. Coworker is completely alienating a person who's supposed to be helping us, and we've spent all 20 minutes of the meeting going through helper's Windows settings to try and change the color of a setting in Windows, and it's not meaningless, but this is a really fucking frustrating way to start a Monday.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

when my mom and I were driving to the 5k a couple weeks ago a raptor of some sort swooped lazily across the highway right in front of us. I was seriously concerned that we might hit it, but it knew what it was doing. Mom thought it was too big to be a red-tailed hawk, maybe a Golden Eagle. It was hella impressive from that angle, whatever it was.

Wow!! Usually when that happens to me it turns out to be a turkey vulture. Golden eagle is much better!
