Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, Dana.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

when my mom and I were driving to the 5k a couple weeks ago a raptor of some sort swooped lazily across the highway right in front of us. I was seriously concerned that we might hit it, but it knew what it was doing. Mom thought it was too big to be a red-tailed hawk, maybe a Golden Eagle. It was hella impressive from that angle, whatever it was.

Wow!! Usually when that happens to me it turns out to be a turkey vulture. Golden eagle is much better!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Meeting is still going on. I'm hungry.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I saw a hawk sailing down into a ditch alongside the highway when I was driving home from St. Louis Saturday, but a golden eagle definitely has that beat.

(Folks will still have to work to outdo the bald eagle buzzing us on the lakeshore as the eclipse was reaching totality last year though!)

Crap, I had a good few hours and then my productivity screeched to a halt. At least I have meetings from 1:30 until I have to go get a mammogram. This afternoon is going to be great.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is awesome. Matt!

Sorry, Dana.

This has sat open for a couple of hours without me posting. Oops.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I should go out driving to make a little more money, but I feel sluggish. Even though we're supposed to get 9 freaking inches of snow on Wednesday!

I hate feeling so drained. I tried to take it easy over the weekend, but that didn't really work. Despite the difficulty, I DID ask for help a bunch. When you are having fun in the moment, it is hard to remember that your stamina meter is FUBAR.

I napped at Kelly's place for a good chunk of yesterday afternoon. Then she brought Crowley and me home. I zoned out for a while, tried to work on school work and failed miserably. I think a big part of my ugh was due to not eating properly all weekend. After having a salad, I got back into school work.

School - I have 3 papers due in my current class, one paper from my last course and one full course to go and I'm done. For my last course, I had a huge paper due by midnight - which was already an extension past the end of the course, so no chance of being able to slide. The paper didn't hit the page count, but I think I covered everything. I mailed it in around 1:15am and, thankfully, the professor e-mailed back a thank you and that he will update my grades soon.

I got about 8 hours sleep (on the couch cause going upstairs was just TOO MUCH) and my brain is working in slow motion today. I hates it.

Ok, whining is on hold. For now.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Dragged myself to do 3 hours of painting and to the grocery, though I am sore and had a bad case of the don't-wanna's.

No more painting or moving stuff today. I'm sitting my achy, tired ass down for a while.

Yikes! We still have some snow on the ground basically on the south side of the streets. And no snow on the forecast. This sucks - we need more snow!
