Our wings are not tired.

I fear they know this, Volans. So how is that whole Calexit thing going?

Rage fatigue is taking hold. Or maybe it is fear fatigue. My jaw hurts from clenching my teeth.

Thrive to spite them

I keep reading things and I can't tell if they are true or not. I'm avoiding false new sites (as much as possible) but there is so much speculation it's hard to tell what is just wild speculation and what is legitmate speculation.

...what do you think they would do, volans? That had not even occurred to me as a concern?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just suggested we might want to close the borders....of Massachusetts!

And then I was saying how great my Rep is, and my coworker started off saying, "Have you seen -- no reason why you would have --" and I was like, "The weekly newsletter? YES! LOVE THAT." Hee.

Our wings are not tired.

Things have improved for the moment. A football player from the local HS just sold me full size Butterfinger bars.

Thrive to spite them

At some point at the pet store (my new job) we got animals in (the store is opening Monday). Not all of them, or we have them and they aren't in the aquariums yet.

There are 4 baby Guinea pigs which I always thought as being shy timid little creatures with no real personality. I was wrong. There's one piggie who was running around the cage and at one point did a little leap in the air and twisted its body around. It was adorable and if I had video it would go viral.

All four of them like to hang out and eat in the hay loft. It's attached to the side of the cage and they crawl in it and get all comfy and then start eating or napping. Or switching off. They can hide in it so it turns into a weird Guinea pig version of Where's Waldo.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yay new job!

I am still verklempt. The more I hear about the "transition" the more dismayed I get. To the point that W is seeming better by comparison, and he was a disaster.

move out and draw fire

I don't think it really happens. I think at midterms, when the Trump administration hasn't made life wonderful, the Dems retake the Senate.

But if the GOP could, I think they'd restructure the Second Amendment, make some changes to the 13th, and generally yuck.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I don't think the Ds take the Senate back in 2018. They'll be defending 23 out of 33 seats (plus 2 Independents that caucus with the Ds). At least numerically, the House might be more doable.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary's been away on business this week. He gets back tonight. He's had a lot of business travel in the last two months. It's hard enough wrangling Mr. S when I'm at 100%, but I'm exhausted. (I'm crutch-free and heading towards being brace-free, but I'm still not back to normal)
