this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I was thinking that too, Dana.

You guys remember 2 years ago when I dropped everything and went to Colorado because my brother had relapsed super hard on drinking? Sunday he'll be 2 years sober again (he'll be off at his graduate program's retreat on Sunday, so I had to congratulate him today).

So we're texting each other stuff like "I am so damn proud of you for doing such hard work over the past 2 years" and "You are a big part of where I am today" and "Your work in therapy motivated me to get into therapy, so it's mutual."

And it concluded with "We are the GODDAMN BEST." Because we're so humble.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Your son must be like three years old and can't possibly be old enough to intern anywhere.

Exactly. But good luck to him with this early start!

Hooray for a good Harvest!

Congratulations, Jessica, that is so excited! Also, I would like to hear more about this program, sounds fascinating.

I made it in to work this morning. Yay? Three more days of this including today. Then I will have different things to complain about, but definitely a shorter drive, so that will be nice.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Great news about your little brother, JZ!

Congrats Jessica!

All your gronk are belong to me this morning. Yesterday was a 13-hour workday, followed by coming home to multiple ceiling leaks in my kitchen and getting a call from my cousin that my parents weren't answering their phone. Raced across town at 11 o'clock to discover all was well and apparently a handset was misplaced, preventing calls from ringing through. 6 hours sleep was not enough to recuperate from all that.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Matt! That is tough, but glad you found all was well!

Yep, Teppy and Bro are the best. Good to hear he is doing well.

Coding and Sleeping

He is only fifteen which still seems pretty young.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, Matt, that's a lot for one day!

Excellent bro news, Steph.

I am totally crashing out already, which is unfortunate, because I still need to get stuff done today! I have meetings at 2 and 3, which kind of helps. I mean, at least it's work time that I couldn't be producing anything even if I wanted to?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I need to provide a photo and a "what are you most excited about" blurb for my new job and I swear this is more stressful than my annual self-appraisal.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Yay, big piles of good news in here today!

Congrats, Jess, that's so exciting! (Grad school, the work blurb, less so).

Congrats JZ & Bro! Goooooo Stem Cells!

I could stipulate to Gud's son being 7, maybe 8, but I still wish him well with an internship he can be excited about!

Yay Steph & Bro!

Yay Strong Testing Amy!

Matt, glad to hear that things were okayer than not. Hope today goes easy on you.

If I missed anybody, I promise I was cheering as I read, just not able to meara at the moment.
