Our wings are not tired.

Let's just say the AC is blasting.

Super distracted over family drama with step-dad, and basically hating all humans.

So I'll share my Billy Graham story! Back in the mid-70s I was living in Norfolk VA and my DH wanted to go to a Graham event at the big stadium there. He was a radio announcer and orator, completely non-religious, and just wanted to watch his speaking style. I had zero experience with evangelicals because I went to Catholic school. His oratory skill was a disappointment to DH, but the man had lost his MIL the day before so we wrote that off to grief. BUT, I was stunned because he repeatedly said that "he promised" that you would go to heaven if you went forward. I had never in my life on the planet heard such a ridiculous thing. How the hell could he make such a promise? Ah, I was so young.

I wish I could say that was the last time I was stunned by what powerful people will say to an ignorant crowd.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I went outside with no jacket and shortsleeves. It is bananas. And will possibly snow tomorrow.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S has a slight fever and a cold, so I'm staying home with him. He has spent a good amount of time crying for Daddy. sigh...

Yes, when the boys were in their Daddy modes it was a relief in many ways, but not so much when Dad wasn't available. In the end they came back to being Mama's boys.

ION, my family has assured me that they will still need me, feed me, send me valentines, and bottles of wine! After tomorrow, when I am 64!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc calls for daddy every morning before she settles for me.

I think most parents I know have moaned about toddlers going through a big Daddy phase. They are just more fun at that age I guess. It was kind of a break after the infant stage of only Mom will do.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm watching the Parkland students' speeches. It's giving me some hope. These kids aren't going to back down.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope the Isle of Wight is not too dear, Laura.
