Love isn't brains, children, it's blood, blood screaming inside you to work its will.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

There was an unfortunate headline in my work e newsletter today. "Student Activities brings some furry love to campus for Valentines Day." They are having therapy dogs.

Coding and Sleeping

That... is quite a headline.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

There may be a small, greatly disappointed group of students at your school, Sophia.

Connie, your purchase is adorable!

I don't have any milkcrate shelves at the moment. But I do have a few bookcases that date back to my high school years in the mid-80s. (Plus several acquired in years since.) The '80s bookcases are cheap particle board, so I'm kind of surprised they've survived decades of heavy use and several moves. If I ever own a place, I'd love to swap them out for built-ins.

Because books.

The kidlit world has been talking about sexual harassment in the last few weeks, and apparently Jay Asher is one of the harassers: [link]

I'm sort of crushed at the same time as horrified. He's a great, sensitive writer. How on earth does he not know sexual harassment is wrong?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

How horrible Amy.

Hivemind - CJ needs your wisdom/creativity. He is trying to get Chik-fil-a delivered to his sweetheart in Rockford, IL. He has tried Grubhub and UberEats with no luck. Of course he leaves this to the last minute - any ideas?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Taskrabbit? Is that still a thing? I have no idea.

I'm glad I reached out to my old job about not having received a W2 -- they don't mail them at all anymore! Theoretically, I can log in and download it, but of course the site isn't loading, because that place is garbage.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

What about DoorDash? That's the other food delivery one around here.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

There was an unfortunate headline in my work e newsletter today.

I can't decide if I want that to be deliberate phrasing or if I want that to be the work of someone sweetly oblivious.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Both are good.

So, I'm at my new/old job today for the department meeting, which was fine, and they have nothing else for me to do. Which is nice, because I can actually work on one of my current tasks that is always getting interrupted by more urgent things. General weirdness of not having everything ergonomically fitting or just, you know, my stuff, but my friend that retired left me a coffee cup, hooray!
