Both are good.
So, I'm at my new/old job today for the department meeting, which was fine, and they have nothing else for me to do. Which is nice, because I can actually work on one of my current tasks that is always getting interrupted by more urgent things. General weirdness of not having everything ergonomically fitting or just, you know, my stuff, but my friend that retired left me a coffee cup, hooray!
Oh man, another school shooting spree.
I find it frustrating that after the Las Vegas incident that Congress couldn't even do anything about bump stocks.
We were watching that on the news, Gud. Horrific.
As for bump stocks, unfortunately there really isn't much Congress can do to stop bump firing...you can bump fire with any kind of stock.
-t - yay for new/old job! Gud's comment about Las Vegas reminds me of our last Lyft ride with the Vegas shooting conspiracy theorist driver.
This one in my backyard. I turned off the news when they remarked that is was surprising somehow because it was in a rich school. Really? Why?

But a purpose-built bump stock allows maintaining a higher rate of fire with more accuracy, up to 800 rounds per minute.
Oh man, now there are reports of numerous fatalities starting to trickle out. It's so awful. Those young lives being snuffed out. I know there are even more horrific things happening elsewhere in the world, but being a parent of teenagers here in the U.S. this is hitting hard.
That news was playing on the TV in the breakroom while I had lunch. So terrible.
Apparently they are transporting the shooter to the hospital. DH is coaching a regional basketball game tonight and that school is on his schedule. It is hard to watch the news because the reporting is all speculation and 'experts' and it just annoys rather than informs.
The local TV station website crashed. The channel we all go to during hurricanes! I've never seen them go down.
Yeah, DH just got a call that all the Broward county basketball games are canceled. His game is still tonight because he is in Palm Beach.
