AAARGH. So, last March I tried on some new dance boots, but they didn't have my size in the color/style I wanted. So I didn't buy them. But I wrote down what size/style I did want. In September I went online and decided to actually buy them. It says may take six weeks. I kept emailing and following up and contemplating saying cancel the order, but I still wanted the damn shoes, so I waited. And finally got them today. And put them on. AND THEY DON"T FIT. They're too big. If they were a tiny bit too small that would actually be fine--they stretch--but too big is not fixable. SO ANNOYED. Now I have to send them back and STILL won't have new shoes. (Sadly, the dance shoes I want are either online, or at dance conventions, and that's it. Nowhere to try them on in person unless you're at a convention where they brought some stock, and I thought since I had, they would freaking fit!)
Sincere thanks for all the good thoughts, all. I really appreciate being able to freak out a little here.
Dad's got a blood clot in his left lung. He's admitted and needs to see a specialist. He's comfortable now, but thing's are about 50/50 right now. That's probably all we'll know tonight unless something changes for the worse.
