Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, aurelia! You are a good friend.

Our wings are not tired.

Aw, that makes me a little sad.

Yeah, I would have been down with it, but I have a friend who won't get an implant for just that reason! Vegan stuff, although I fail to understand how that applies.

Organ and bone donations aren't ever harvested from unwilling donors, are they?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Someone could probably get a great horror novel out of a person being cursed "in blood and bone," and that curse following the donated matter to new victims.

Because books.

I would think the idea of "recycle and reuse" would really appeal to vegans.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Mom had a bypass in her leg that was a cadaveric vein. I kept referring to her Dead People Parts, luckily her sense of humor was flexible enough to find me amusing. And we REALLY speculated how they find donors for the fecal transplant (for her c. dif. last summer).

Oh this would be such a screwed up episode of Supernatural.

Got off work around midnight and was walking to the train with a friend when he slipped on the stairs and in trying to catch himself, broke his thumb pretty gruesomely. So we're hanging out in the ER tonight.

Yowch, good luck to him! I sprained my thumb once and it's a bitch to try to do without it, and it took extra-long to heal because it's so hard not to use it that you do, even though it hurts.

Supernatural kind of touched on that with someone being haunted by their transplanted kidney.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My mom had some donor skin grafted onto her tongue. I should've told her to use that excuse to say whatever she wanted to.

Friend got x-rays shortly after my last post which showed a gnarly dislocation but not major breakage so they were able to put it back in place give him a thumb shaped thumb again. It was an "open fracture" though, so stitches and a ridiculously large bandage wrap. After getting him home and feeding my cats I crawled into bed around 6am. So that was a 23 hour day.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

In random news, D is kinda obsessed with goats, so I just ordered a stuffed goat for him from You've Goat Mail for V-Day and I CANNOT WAIT till he gets it!

I really wish they'd had a black one, because he was reeeealllly into Black Philip from "The Witch."
