Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's pretty funny, Jesse. I'm sure it's pretty annoying to actually be in thie middle of, but funny from the outside!

Yikes, Sophia. I don't have anything to recommend, but sounds very unpleasant.

...no one show Trump a Mardi Gras parade.

Ugh, what would their throws even be? Individually wrapped rolls of paper towel?

That literally was going to be my second suggestion.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's pretty funny, Jesse. I'm sure it's pretty annoying to actually be in thie middle of, but funny from the outside!

That's especially funny because it's not me, it's Jessica!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That's especially funny because it's not me, it's Jessica!

IT'S HAPPENING EVERYWHERE!!!

I sent a screenshot of the internal IM window to my boss and he gave me the go-ahead to send out a goodbye email, so I'm drafting that now. FINALLY.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DH could not get a Lyft, cab or Uber this morning, so he had to wake me up at 6:45am to drive him to the train station during a heavy snowstorm. Not my favorite way to start the day and the drive home was NOT FUN, but I did manage to get back to sleep for an hour or so. Poor guy felt terrible. Haven't done a damn thing all day, but I do have paperwork to get done tonight so I will accomplish something before I go to sleep. For his part, he got to ride to Chicago to the Auto Show in a private train car full of other journalists.

Tomorrow is my info meeting for starting work as a substitute teacher. Keep your fingers crossed that I pass muster. I am not very worried, the pay is very low and there is a shortage, so I hope I'm a shoo-in.

brillig

With the taxes on my mineral rights windfall about to be resolved, I'm thinking of a trip to Key West next year so I can visit the ocean. There are lovely places right on the harbor that would be wonderful places to sit and watch the ships. But the weather worris me. For some people, mid-70s for temperature and humidity is glorious, but to this desert dweller, humidity over 50% is hell. I'm hoping shade and breezes will be enough to counteract moisture. I never expected to become a desert creature.

I'm home. I brought my dad's ashes and every TSA person was nice to me and offered condolences.

Also, got a tooth pulled. It has a couple of extra roots. It's amazing how painful it was, but also how fast. Fast if you don't do bone graph etc, I guess.
