Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

one of those bs memes about boycotting the game over players kneeling

On NPR this morning, they had a guy who is a veteran who said he started watching football MORE because the kneeling is exactly what he's fought for.

I always wish there were more emphasis on the fact that it's basically the most respectful protest possible.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Dang, beth, that is a lot of day!

I have no Super Bowl plans. Might be a good time to go the gym and have the whirlpool to myself.

Because books.

Philly fans of all Philly sports are Completely Extreme Fans. As a non-football person, I'm just waiting for it be over and hoping the Eagles win so fans don't, like, set the city on fire or something.

beth, your poor tooth! That's some day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like they are as likely to set the city on fire after a win?

Because books.

This is also true. Ben's friend took his car into the city over playoffs weekend, and in the celebrations following the Eagles' win, his car was almost totaled by people walking all over it. It's still in the shop.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I feel like they are as likely to set the city on fire after a win?

According to the SNL skit last night, they are.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, they are not very well behaved. And yet, I am hoping they win.

I always wish there were more emphasis on the fact that it's basically the most respectful protest possible.

Exactly.

So sad, my eggs aren't peeling nicely. The last 20 times I made HB eggs, no problem. Today, yuck.

Yikes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It is so saddening to pick at the little shell bits and ruin the smooth surface of the egg.

I think the most opposite experience is using a Rubbermaid silicone spatula to scoop out the last bit of batter from a glass mixing bowl. Now that is satisfying.

If everything in life were as gratifyingly proper as a rubber spatula then we would be living in an earthly paradise.
