vegan Indian chili
I varied from recipe because I use canned beans and don't soak and all that.
Sauteed half a large onion, bunches of garlic, large red pepper, and a few small hot peppers. Added: 2 Tbls minced ginger, 1-1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 Tbl chili powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp cayenne. Cook with spices for a couple minutes then added a can each of black and garbanzo beans, large can crushed tomatoes, some veg broth (but water fine), splash of lemon juice, and a handful of parsley (didn't have cilantro on hand)
Very tasty and not as hot as you would think, but we do like spicy.
That sounds yummy, Laura. Hybrid cuisine for the win!
And our Dean just resigned. Not in a happy way.
Whoa. What does this mean for you, Sparky?
Really, it depends on who steps in. But it's not a great thing to happen right now knowing what I know from sitting on various committees.
Sparky, I haven't been keeping up, but I've heard rumblings. That bad?
There are unresolved issues that this Dean has not let the U administration weasel out of addressing and I am afraid of anyone else who steps in and doesn't hold the U. to account.
Grr. Kudos to him for holding their feet to the fire.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Interesting. Our President just resigned in a not very good way, but I think he was more of a fall guy/didn't address issues than getting pushed out for pushing to address issues. If that word salad made any sense.
