I was worried not many people would show up for the March today, but it looks like there are tens of thousands of people in the streets.
Big turnout in SF. Bigger than last year (which started late, in the rain, and ran into the dark). This year they started at 2 pm and it was a blue sky day. People were very focused on the mid-term elections, but also lots of signs about MeToo, DACA, Healthcare, LGBTQ rights and visibility, BLM.
Nashville had a good turnout too. The organizers are estimating 15K, not much lower than last year. Rose made her own sign (My Body My Choice) and was very proud to show it off. We ran into some friends, the weather was lovely, and it was great to see so much energy in the crowd.
Not bigger than last year, I don't think, but definitely still a great turnout in Seattle.
I read two books this afternoon, did not go to the gym or make dinner other than reheating leftovers. But when a friend called and invited me to play board games in an hour I whipped together a batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to bring over.
Tomorrow no plans but I may go see a movie in the morning. Depending on how my morning goes. I'd rather see the 10am showing but that one is $12 and the 1115 is $6 (different theaters)
The ads for that look like the distilled parody of all fake medicals shows ever.
It lacked only Gary Coleman being wheeled in on a gurney muttering "What'chu talkin' 'bout, Batman?"
The ads for that look like the distilled parody of all fake medicals shows ever.
I know! I can't get over how bad the ads

Go Rose!!!
I should stop eating bread again for weight-loss reasons, but yesterday I made some curried carrot-squash soup (all out of my freezer!!), so I wanted something to go with it, and pretzel rolls caught my eye at the store, and damn, are they delicious with a little mustard butter!!
This run-on sentence brought to you by my lunch.
After 2 and a half months, I FINALLY have organizational email for the theatre. I have gone on a Sign Up For All The Things spree! I only have a couple more things to sign up for, and for those I needs info that's at the office.
And in a little bit, I go march.
I think I'm going to order a new dining room table and chairs today. How much should I worry about matching the wood on the chair legs to the wood of the table? Ie, can I get these with this? Or should I think harder about this table?
I think the unmatching legs might bug after a while, although I love that first table. Would these chairs be too modern for you> [link]
