Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh, JZ I'm so sorry. Fuck cancer indeed. Please let us know if there's anything we can do.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So sorry, JZ. If it helps, a good friend got his diagnosis two and a half years ago, and is still doing well.

I'm sorry, JZ.

I tried to rake up the fucking monkey balls/anklebtreakers from the street, but seems they fell during the ice, so I guess parts of my street are basically cobblestoned with those fuckers until we stay above freezing at a convenient time. I filled 3 half (because plastic started giving from weight.I was bagging ðŸ‚-monkeyball popsicles) bags with what I could break free.

I think I have work problems, but because this is my weekend, am willfully ignoring them. Boss has my #s if she really wants answers.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

monkey balls/anklebtreakers

Fruit of osage orange trees or seed pods from sweet gum trees, or something else?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Fruit of osage orange trees or seed pods from sweet gum trees, or something else?

My question, too.

Fuck cancer, for real. DH's younger brother spent the past year in treatment for esophageal cancer and recovery from surgery. He just had his followup appointment. He has liver cancer. They're giving him twelve months, but they don't sound at all positive about it. I'm so sorry about your brother, JZ. The best of all possible outcomes to him, and strength and comfort to him, you, and your family.

JZ - Jan 15, 2018 4:24:30 pm PST #21061 of 30002
See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Thanks again. So much love to everyone.

DX, that's comforting to hear about your friend.

Because books.

Oh, JZ, I'm sorry. And what everyone said about you being the center here. ::hugs you::

And Bev, I'm so sorry about your BiL!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Fruit of osage orange trees

Does anyone else call these hedge apples/hedge balls? I didn't realize they were from osage orange trees until a year or two ago.

seed pods from sweet gum trees

Which are known in my house as "ding-dong balls," because my mom has a goofy nickname for everything you can think of. (Honestly, though, they should just be called "You Will Break Your Ankle, Puny Mammal."

Some sort of maple-y tree? It also drops leaves late, which is a pisser. I'm mid Atlantic, remember.
