"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I woke up early, my head full of all my work and too many meetings, came in early, looked at everything and confirmed that it is Too Much.

Jesse is me, except that my alarm woke me up early so I could come in for meetings.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I just found out a college classmate and friend died yesterday. FUCK CANCER. Rachel and I worked on every reunion together and years ago on a young alumni committee. I was knitting her a pussy hat.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm so sorry, msbelle.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Taking money out of my retirement account for house repairs is not entirely frivolous, right?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Yay, Gizmo, good boy!

Sorry for your loss, msbelle.

Pretty sure that's almost the exact opposite of frivolous, Theo.

Coding and Sleeping

Oddly slow day today. I'm transitioning from working on analytics back to core product (had a few developers leave to work at a start-up) and as such I don't have a ton to do for the current sprint.

Art Crawl!!!

No - because you'be got to have a place to live.

Working at the library so far has been excelkent. I can't believe how nice it is to go to work & not feel like it impossible to do anything right. And the library us so pretty.

The Temps are supposed to drop dramatically while I am at work this afternoon - I am hoping that the sidewalks will have dried off by the time I leave-

Go, Gizmo (in the appropriate location)!

msbelle, I'm sorry about your friend. Fuck cancer indeed.

I could see taking money out of retirement for necessary house repairs, such as a hole in the roof or wiring problems. Stuff where leaving it be will quickly degrade the value of the house investment. It's all money in pots, and one of the pots you live in. If that pot gets a hole in it, it seems like it would be a good use of some from another pot to address that. More cosmetic changes, probably not so much, unless you're getting ready to sell and you figure they'll really help keep the price up.

I am so glad to hear that sumi. I think working in the library as a summer student was one of my best jobs. (We did have 30 minute breaks and 1.5 hours for lunch, so it was quite leisurely.)
