Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

A Galaxy Sky. It had good reviews on the Tracfone site.

I need to get a case for it now.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have to strongly recommend a case, because my arrogance about the durability of my perfectly serviceable Moto G is what led to me dropping it on the tiled kitchen floor and shattering the screen.

You damn bet the iPhone has a case now. (I didn't pay a ton for it, because it's an SE, but I love it and I'm tired of buying phones.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am dying to activate my new phone, but I timed it all wrong since my account is pre-paid, and if I do it too soon, I'm just double paying.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Connie, please tell your Inner Puritans to stuff it from me. A smartphone is a useful and functional item; if it so happens that you can have a little fun with it, you deserve that too.

I got only 500 mb of data, so I'll be curious how I go through that. I'm trying not to go nuts with apps.

Also, tell your puritans to go to Five Below to get $5 screen protectors and cases, it'll make them happy. No, you aren't likely to get an otterbix or speck there, but something cheap and basically decent. Screen protectors especially.

I don't use it tons, but it's nice to have for jury duty or when I show up to early. And the camera is better.

I'm going to the Grand Canyon this summer, so I'll have to make sure I have a way to attach the case to my person. That camera is terrific.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry, Zen. I hope the weather cooperates, a walk sounds like a good idea. You have reminded me to turn on my Happy Light, so thanks for that.

You're welcome, -t! The weather cooperated but my brain did not. I slept 12 hours, didn't get up until 2, and took another 2 hour nap at 6. I feel like crap. It finally occurred to me that I've been having a period for almost 2 weeks (fucking perimenopause) and at the same time I ran out of my iron supplements a week ago... so maybe it isn't too weird that I'm tired and shaky and can't focus. I got more iron supplements today.

Laura, that's exciting!

Glad you like your new phone, Connie. I've been really happy with the Galaxy phones.

Man, the camera on the SE is really damn good. Even the front-facing camera is sharp. We are living in the dang future.

I have achieved a goal I've long wanted--I've set the theme for the old British show Scrapheap Challenge as my ringtone. It's lots of metallic banging and heavy bass, though I would like to remove the couple of seconds of skidding rubber from the beginning of the file. I am going to have fun with ringtones.
