You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Working from home today, so I haven't been outside. But it's very foggy around here -- starting to lift.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's so warm here! I didn't even wear my heavy coat. By which I mean 34 F. It's going to be a slushfest for the next couple of days.

Punishingly Intricate

Am grateful for the yak trax I got last year on sale at REI! Sidewalks are still a mess out there. But even watching the dog slip and slide as we walked her was stressful. Even if she didn't care.

brillig

I am sitting at home waiting for the FedEx delivery of my new phone, because it needs to be signed for, and their office hours match my work hours. Yay, day off work, boo, I really want to go back to bed but I know as soon as I do they'll knock.

Our wings are not tired.

I am so excited!! DIL messaged me and asked if we could go out to dinner with them before this big scheduled tree burning bonfire and bbq at a friend's house. I queried why dinner first since there would be so much food at event. She said because my son wants to ask her father a question at dinner!!! So they want both sets of parents to go out to dinner privately before big event. No way I am saying anything to DH. So happy.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

She said because my son wants to ask her father a question at dinner!!!

Laura, that's so exciting!

Thrive to spite them

That is so exciting Laura.

I am so sick of this weather. It's considerably warmer today but school was cancelled because of icy roads. M and I were going to get together but now we have to wait for the roads are clear.

Our wings are not tired.

It just adds to their adorableness that they want to have their parents there for the moment. Apparently her mom and I know, but the dads don't. Both dads are big mush balls so I will pack tissues.

Aww, mushy stuff!

We are still packing our house, because I live with two pack rats. The contractor has started -- in my town, you first have to have an approved plan to protect the trees, so they have been building walkways with wood chips and planks, etc., outside. My question for the Urban Forest Manager: WHY DO YOU HATE MY GRASS?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Hm, I picked up a pre-made mac & cheese last week (Wed?) from a fancy gourmet to go place and I put it in the fridge, till pulling it out today for lunch. It looks fine, but there's a kind of musty smell... tastes ok I think. I don't know if I should just chuck it or not.
