So I haven't done shit for my actual job today, but
- plumbers came and fixed the downstairs water (the pipes were frozen which caused a thingy to break)
- the junk guys came and hauled away a bunch of junk (building materials left in our side yard by the previous owners)
- had a pretty successful phone interview for potentially fun new job
- FINALLY dropped off birthday cupcakes at my daughter's school (her birthday was Thursday, school was closed Th/F last week - they might be stale but I don't think a bunch of 7 year-olds will mind)
- leaving in an hour to pick my son up for his orthodontist appt
That's enough, right? Do I get a nap now?
Goddamnit, I had a whole rant typed out (and validation for Jessica), and something ate it. Fuck you, computer and/or internet.
Rant, short version: Medication for migraines which was supposed to be covered by card from manufacturer has changed how they pay for it, without warning, resulting in it not being covered. Now I'm waiting for the doctor and manufacturer and insurance company to work it out.
Man, it was a much rantier rant before.
Oh HELL no, Dana!
And hell yes, Jess, you can have a nap.
I would like a nap.
Jessica should be napping now. As should I, and yet.
Well, the canyon where is our house is located is now under mandatory evacuation due to the potential for severe flooding and mudslides. It looks like our house SHOULD be safe. We are scheduled to move in this weekend.
Ugh. Sounds like with beauty comes danger.
That could be the tagline for most of Southern California.
Ah, nature . . . AUGHHHH! NATURE!!!
All outside Christmas is down. Wreath is drying before it can be stored. Inside Christmas will stay up until I'm motivated to take pictures (where did we put the frammis and the lighted whodad last year? Did we even use the lollat?), and then do the tetris necessary to get everything in boxes.
Fireplace dvd continues to be cozy. And cleanup-free.
