Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

Our wings are not tired.

Let's hear it for New Boy!

I am decluttering my house. The value per Zillow has skyrocketed in the last couple months, like half again as much so we want to strike while the iron is hot. Realtor is coming by this afternoon so we can choose a price point. I want out while the neighborhood is so crazy hot. There is even some possibility of talking DH into living on a boat at this point, which would be awesome. So, cleaning, decluttering, trying to make it as presentable as possible.

Callaluna, I'm glad that it went well. Will you be moving back to ME?

Yes. We will be living with my grandmother for the time being. She is in her eighties and living alone which makes everyone nervous. And she has two spare rooms. So that is the short term plan. I've not allowed myself to make any long term plans because everything was too much up in the air. But I'll be starting over from zero. I have literally nothing. A few possessions. So I'll need a job. A car. A life. Lol But I have nothing but excitement when I think about it. I've had zero control for seven years and now my future is up to me to create!

Thank you guys for all the support!

Because books.

Oh man, living on a boat sounds so wonderful. Fingers crossed for a quick sale, Laura.

So ... New Boy is coming over today while I work and make beef stew and putter. Which is happy-making. (He has a few days off, because of vacation he needed to take.) I would normally be worried about Too Much, Too Soon, but I'm too happy to be worried today, so.

Callaluna, having been almost exactly where you hare two years ago, I'm so glad you're doing this. Because everything is possible! It's not to say it isn't hard work sometimes, but the freedom and the control over your own life is so very much worth it. YAY!

Our wings are not tired.

I have literally nothing.

You have no encumbrances. You have a loving family in Maine, and here!

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Yay, Callaluna! I'm so happy for you.

I didn't call in sick, but I'm still not 100% sure I made the right call.

Also, it's looking likely that I'll be spending Thanksgiving by myself. My friends who usually have a bunch of us orphan-types over don't seem to be having their annual thing this year. I'm not too bothered by it, because my friends are having our 19th (!!!) annual Friends' Thanksgiving this Saturday, which is pretty awesome, and is the real holiday for me, but I am feeling a little extra-fragile this year. But then again, hanging out with the cat and eating Chinese and watching Captain America movies isn't such a bad way to spend the day, especially when I have to work the football game the next day.

ETA: Hooray for New Boy!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Congratulations on the fresh start, Callaluna!

Yay for Amy having good times!

Good luck with the house, Laura, that sounds like a smart thing to do.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

amyth, I'm guessing this wouldn't work since you have to work the next day, but if there's any chance you feel like driving to Nashville for Thanksgiving, you are always welcome here!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Jesse, has the Miranda family's recreation of "Do-Re-Mi" made it to Good Stuff yet?

Oh Kate, I would love to so much, thank you! I miss you all like crazy!! But yeah, with the working the next day and everything...blah. If only I could beam myself to Nashville!

Really, it will probably be nice and restful. I am crazy busy before and after, I just got back from traveling, will be traveling in December and January, I have no shortage of friends and loved ones that I would love to see if I could make it work. It's just the idea of the day, more than the actual fact of the day. But I need to let that go and rest and relax!

However, I need to get back to see you all someday in the not-too-distant future.
