A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Doing the right thing mostly sucks in the short term. Lots of love, Callaluna.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Oh Sail, I'm so sorry.

Sorry, msbelle, that's so hard.

Much love to you, Callaluna. Sending good thoughts your way today.

I've been on vacation this past week, and I'm supposed to go back to work today. It's really important that I go back to work today, but I'm debating calling in sick. I'm exhausted, my house is a wreck, I have a million errands to run, I need to unpack, I have to take the cat to the vet, my head hurts, etc. Also, I hate everything. Mainly that.

Librarian Warlord

Sail, I am sorry.

Msbelle, I am sorry.

Callaluna, thinking of you.

amyth, I haven't been on vacation, but am right there with you. In a faculty meeting on Friday a Prof said something about the election results that made me think, " must be nice to have tenure."

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Belated Happy Birthday, Hil!

Sail, I'm so sorry about your dad. Wishing him comfort and peace, and strength and courage to you and your brother.

msbelle, it's so unfair that their little lives are so much shorter than ours. It's never easy to see them go. Peace to your kitty, and comfort to you.

Callaluna, all the best possible luck in court.

Windsparrow, I have shared that beautiful sentiment elsewhere. Thank you.

I avoid FB, and there are so few people on it other than Buffistas it's not a problem.

A closed group on LJ discussed events today, and I think having a place for facts and venting helped the people who took part. Consuela, your linkspam is very helpful, thanks.

There's a conference here at work, and because I need to be in the other building for an interview, I'm camped out in the cafe, where te breakfast buffet is set up. A bunch of French and Italian men are standing right by me, discussing the election.

They are really relieved to have euro passports.

Because books.

Callaluna, fingers crossed for you.

Windsparrow, thank you for that.

Sail, all my love to you and ~ma for your dad.

msbelle, I'm so sorry. It's always hard.

I noped out of the real world for 24 hours this weekend with the New Boy, and don't regret it for a minute.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Callaluna, I am SO HAPPY for you!!!

Amy, I'm curious about New Boy (though you don't have to share a single thing if you don't want to).

Punishingly Intricate

Thrive to spite them

Sail I'm so sorry.

Calla I'm sorry about the anger directed at you.

Glad the divorce is final.

Callaluna - Nov 14, 2016 3:54:41 am PST #2044 of 30002

I just posted in Beep Me... but I'm divorced! There are still a bunch of legal formalities to deal with, but the judge said the words, "You are now divorced." I wasn't expecting to hear that today. The relief is overwhelming, I finally believe I am truly going to be able to put this dark period of my life behind me and move forward.
